Piotr Czarnecki - President of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments: Strategy & Organisation, Marketing & PR, Internal Audit, Legal, Human Resources, Compliance.

From 1990 to 1991, Piotr Czarnecki worked as a manager at Polski Bank Rozwoju S.A. (the Polish Development Bank). Between 1992 and 1993, he was a deputy director of the Credit Department in Kredyt Bank S.A. From 1993 to 1996, he was a management board member and, simultaneously, a director of the Credit and Capital Investment Department in Bank Rolno-Przemysłowy S.A. (later Rabobank Polska S.A.). From 1996 to 2000, he served as a vice-president of Rabobank Polska S.A. From May 2000 to January 2002, he served as the president of the management board of Getin Service Provider S.A., which is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In 2002, he served as the Director General of the Business Client Department at Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. He has also served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy S.A. (1996-2000) and Ósmy Narodowy Fundusz Inwestycyjny Octava S.A. (1999–2000). On 5 March 2003, he was appointed the President of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A.

Piotr Czarnecki graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, where he obtained a magister inżynier degree from the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology in industry organisation and management from the Industry Organisation and Management division. He completed postgraduate studies at Harvard University in the scope of management and investment evaluation as well as the Columbia Senior Executive Program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He has participated in numerous national and foreign management and banking courses organised by, among others, the Harvard Business School, the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (USA), and Nijenrode University (the Netherlands). 

Maciej Bardan, First Vice-President of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments and functions: the following departments and functions: Retail Sales Network Supervising Director, Retail MacroRegions, Franchise and Brokerage Sales, Retail Banking Sales & Service Model Management, Distribution Support, Private Banking and Brokerage House, Customer Experience, Retail Banking, Digital Strategy Implementation Officer.

Maciej Bardan started his professional career in 1989 with Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego Universal Sp. z o.o. In 1992, he started working for Citibank (Poland) S.A., where he held various positions until 2001. Within this period, he worked as a relationship manager, managing director in CitiLeasing sp. z o.o. and CitiBusiness, business services managing director, a member of the management board and a member of the Credit Committee. In 2000, he was appointed the managing director and the president of the management board of Mennica-Setec Card sp. z o.o. In 2001, he joined the Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A., where from 2002 to 2008, he served as a vice-president of the management board. Between 2008 and 2013, he held the position of the president of the management board of Kredyt Bank S.A. On 1 June 2014, Maciej Bardan was appointed the first vice-president of the management board responsible for Retail Banking.

Maciej Bardan graduated from the Central School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw (currently: the Warsaw School of Economics), where he obtained a Master’s degree in Economics.

Jan Czeremcha, Vice-President of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments and functions: Corporate Banking Supervising Director, Corporate Banking & Project Finance, Corporate Banking MacroRegions, SE Corporate Banking Supervising Director, SE Corporate Banking, Corporate Banking MacroRegions – SE, Transaction Banking & Corporate Products and Processes, Factoring and Trade Finance.

 Jan Czeremcha started his career in banking in 1988at Bank Handlowy S.A. Between 1991 and 1994, he was the Head of the Credit Department and a member of the Credit Committee of Kredyt Bank S.A. From 1994 to 2004, he was employed by Rabobank Polska S.A., where he acted as a director of the Commercial Banking Department and as a director of the Credit Department. In July 2000, he was appointed the member of the management board of Rabobank Polska responsible for corporate banking. In August 2004, he was appointed the vice-president of the management board of Getin Bank S.A. responsible for institutional clients, including corporate clients as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. On 14 October 2005, he was appointed the vice-president of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A. responsible for corporate banking.

Jan Czeremcha graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Economics of Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He has participated in numerous national and foreign banking courses organised by, among others, the Harvard Business School, Banque Nationale de Paris and the Warsaw Institute of Banking.

Łukasz Januszewski, Member of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments: Capital Markets Sales, Capital Markets & Investment Banking, Financial Institutions & GSS, Research and Markets Business Development and Support. He is the deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Raiffeisen Solutions (Rkantor.com) and the chairman of the supervisory board of Raiffeisen Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A. In 2012-2014, he coordinated the operating merger of Raiffeisen and Polbank.

In 1998, Łukasz Januszewski began working in the Treasury Department of Raiffeisen bank Polska S.A., first as an assistant and later as a senior corporate dealer. From 2006 to 2007, he held the position of the director of the Financial Markets Department. In September 2007, he became a managing director of Treasury and Financial Markets. On 1 December 2007, he became the member of the management board responsible for Financial Institutions and Capital Markets.

Łukasz Januszewski graduated from the Faculty of Management of Warsaw University and the Warsaw School of Economics.

Piotr Konieczny, Member of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments: Financial Accounting and Taxes, Planning & Controlling, Business Intelligence, and Assets and Liabilities Management Department.

 

Piotr Konieczny started his career at the University of Szczecin, where he was an academic instructor. In 1993, he started his career in the commercial banking sector at PKO BP. In 1995, he joined the market risk management team at Pomorski Bank Kredytowy (member of Pekao S.A.), where he was entrusted with the task of market risk controller. In 1997, he joined Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A. as a balance sheet risk manager. Between 1999 and 2002, he extended his responsibilities in the department, and in 2003 became the director of the assets and liabilities management department. From 2007 to 2012 (December), he was responsible for risk management and the financial area as a member of the management board (2007-2009, and from June 2011 to December 2012) and the supervisory director (from November 2009 to May 2011). Since December 2012, he has been the member of the management board responsible for managing finances (CFO).

Piotr Konieczny graduated from the Banking and Finance Faculty of the University of Szczecin. He continued his education at the Warsaw School of Economics and obtained a Ph.D. in Economics, specialising in interest rate risk management.

Witold Broniszewski, Member of the Management Board
 

He supervises the following departments: Corporate Credit Risk Management, SE Corporate Credit Risk Management, Retail Credit Risk Management, Risk Controlling, Corporate Restructuring and Collections, Retail Collections and functions EWS Office, Model Validation Office.

In 1997, Witold Broniszewski began working at Rabobank Polska S.A., as a client coordinator, later becoming a coordinator of financial engineering projects. He worked in Rabobank Polska S.A. until 2003. After that he was employed in Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A. as the regional head of Credit Risk Management of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. In June 2008, he was promoted to the position of the director of the Corporate Credit Risk Management. Subsequently, he took over the responsibility for the risk department in the Bank, where he assumed the position of the director of the Corporate Credit Risk Management Department, and in 2011 became the managing director. On 7 November, he was appointed, and on 14 February 2017, he assumed the position of a member of the management board responsible for material risk to the Bank’s activity, pursuant to the Banking Law.

Witold Broniszewski graduated from the University of Economics in Poznań (Banking & Finance), where he obtained a Master's degree. He has also participated in numerous national and foreign management and banking courses, e.g. International Accounting Standards courses. 

Werner Georg Mayer, Member of the Management Board

He supervises the following departments and function: Chief Information Officer (CIO), IT Department, Operations Centre Department, Operations Department, Procurement Department, Information and IT Department.

Werner Georg Mayer began his professional career in RBI Group in 2009, holding a management position in IT. In 2012, he was appointed the head of Head of NWU Demand Management at RBI. From 2012 to 2013, he participated in preparing to and supervising the efforts related to the merger of Raiffeisen Bank Polska and Polbank EFG. From 2013 to 2016, he was responsible for the restructuring of Raiffeisen Banka in Slovenia, as a member of the management board supervising operations and IT, finance and risk management areas. When the bank in Slovenia was sold by RBI in 2016, he returned to the Group head office in the role of an advisor to the management board of RBI. On 1 June 2017, he was appointed a member of the management board supervising operations and IT in Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A.

Werner Georg Mayer has completed a co-operative programme in finance and commerce at the University of Applied Science BFI in Vienna, and a postgraduate MBA programme at the Danube University Krems with a focus on entrepreneurship in Central Europe.

 

 

THE SUPERVISORY BOARD OF RAIFFEISEN BANK POLSKA S.A.


 

Johann Strobl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board

In 1989, Johann Strobl began his professional career in Creditanstalt in Vienna. In 2004, he became a member of the management board, CFO and the director of restructuring of Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG in Vienna. Since 2007, he has served as a member of the management board at Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB), and between 2010 and 2013 was a member of the management board and the director of restructuring of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI). Since 2013, he has been the deputy CEO and the director of restructuring of RBI. Following the merger of RBI and RZB in March 2017, he became the president of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (resulting from the merger of both institutions).

Johann Strobl graduated from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, where he obtained a PhD. 

Martin Grüll, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Martin Grüll began his professional career in 1982 in Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB). From 1987 to 1998, he was a member of the management board, and, from 1999 to 2002, he was the president of the management board of Bank Austria Handelsbank AG in Vienna. In 2001, he was appointed the manager and then the group executive manager of Bank Austria Creditanstalt in Vienna responsible for Central and Eastern Europe. From 2005 to 2010, he was the CFO and a member of the management board of Raiffeisen International Bank Holding AG, and since 2010 the CFO and a member of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI).

Martin Grüll graduated from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Economics.

Klemens Breuer, Member of the Supervisory Board

Klemens Breuer began his professional career in Deutsche Bank AG in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main and in London. In 2005, he was appointed the head of liquidity management for WestLB AG in Düsseldorf. In 2008, he was appointed a member of the management board of WestLB AG in Düsseldorf. Since April 2012, he has been the member of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) responsible for global markets and retail banking.

Klemens Breuer graduated from RWTH University in Aachen, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration. 

Peter Lennkh, Member of the Supervisory Board

Peter Lennkh began his professional career in 1988 in Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB). In 1990, he began working for Creditanstalt Leasing in Vienna. From 1992 to 1996, he was a deputy member of the management board in Raiffeisenbank in Prague. In 1997, he returned to RZB, where he was responsible for setting up Raiffeisenbank Russia and Raiffeisenbank Ukraine. From 2004 to 2010, he was the member of the management board responsible for Corporate Customer Business and Network Coordination in Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG. From 2010 to 2013, he was the member of the management board responsible for Branch Network Management in RBI. Since September 2013, he has been the member of the management board responsible for Corporate Business in RBI.

Peter Lennkh graduated from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration.

Andreas Gschwenter, Member of the Supervisory Board

Andreas Gschwenter began his professional career in 1994 as a managing director in BuE GmbH. From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a senior consultant for Denkstatt GmbH. In 2000, he joined Bank Austria Creditanstalt, where he held several executive positions in Bucharest, Belgrade and Moscow. From 2010 to 2015, he was the COO, CIO and the member of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval responsible for IT, Operations, Organisation and Facility Management. Since July 2015, Andreas Gschwenter has been the COO, CIO and a member of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI).

Andreas Gschwenter graduated from Innsbruck University, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration. 

Hannes Mösenbacher, Member of the Supervisory Board

Hannes Mösenbacher started his career in finance in 1998 at Creditanstalt Investmentbank AG, where he was responsible for market risk management. Subsequently, in the years 2000-2004, he was responsible for market risk management in Central and Eastern Europe at Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG. In 2004-2008, he was promoted to deputy director of the Treasury Department. Since 2008, he has worked for Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB), where in 2009 he became the director of the risk control department. In 2010, he started to perform the same function at Raiffeisen Bank International AG RBI.

Hannes Mösenbacher graduated from the department of Business Administration at the University in Graz. Subsequently, he studied at the University of Oklahoma in the United States of America, and then he obtained a PhD from the University in Vienna. 

Władysław Gołębiewski, Member of the Supervisory Board

From 1973 to 1991, Władysław Gołębiewski worked at Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. where he held several management positions. From 1991 to 1992, he was deputy chairman of the NBP and an alternate governor for Poland on the board of governors of the World Bank. In 1992-1993, he was a member of the management board of Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A., then the vice-president (1993-2000), and then the president (2000-2001). Since 2002, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board and since 2010 a member of the Audit Committee. Since 2007, he has served as the chairman of the Banking Ethics Commission of the Polish Bank Association. He has also served on the supervisory boards of numerous companies.

Władysław Gołębiewski graduated from the Main School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw (currently: the Warsaw School of Economics), where he obtained a degree in Economics and completed postgraduate studies in Finance. He also participated in a one-year program at the Harvard Business School and the Raiffeisen Bank Leadership Academy.

Selcuk Sari, Member of the Supervisory Board

From 1994 to 1996, Selcuk Sari held numerous positions with Stoelner GmbH. From 1997 to 2008, he worked at Bawag P.S.K. as a participation manager, the head of the general secretariat, the head of investor relations, and the head of strategy and business development. In 2008, he joined Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG as a senior relationship manager in the Regional Office Division, and in 2009 he became the deputy head of this division. Since 2010, he has been a deputy head of the International Banking Unit Division of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI).

Selcuk Sari graduated from the University of Istanbul, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree, and the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, where he obtained a Master’s degree in business administration with a major in auditing, accounting and management of SMEs.
